150 Years Celebration Success

Timor Primary School proudly celebrated 150 years of education last Saturday 21st October. Over 200 people attended this momentous event!

It was a fantastic day in the schools history with many people large distances to attend.
An official opening was held at 11:00am by principal Andrew Tatchell and the unveiling of the photo board at the front of the school was completed by School Council president Bradley Saul and local MP Martha Haylett. A whole school community photo was taken by local photographer Nola Tidyman. A commemorative tree was also planted by the Potter family in recognition of ex principal, teacher and friend Murray Hall.
People wandered through the school buildings and enjoyed the photo walk in the multi-purpose room, whilst reminiscing.
I would like to thank the planning committee for planning out and facilitating this wonderful event – Shandelle Wood, Andrea Potter, Bradley Saul, Debra Borg, Kerry and Peter Cameron. I would also like to thank the parents and families that donated food items and to those that served throughout the day.
